welcome and congratulations on taking the first steps to create your new digital home! thank you so much for choosing me to help you make it happen.

below is some information to help you prepare for our official project kickoff call! please be sure to review this entire page and let me know if you have any questions.

project tracking

as we work together, i’ll keep you informed every step of the way. you should have already received an invite to your Asana project in the email with the link to this page. we’ll use Asana to track each task in your project. Asana will show you what tasks have been done, how we’re tracking on timeline, and your remaining hours budget for the project.

before I can start building your site, i’ll need some very important information. your website will be made up of 3 primary components:

  1. your page copy

  2. photos + videos

  3. your branding.

    here are a few things you should consider and share during our kickoff call in relation to each of these components:

website content

we reviewed your site goals and needs during your consultation call. you should now have an idea of what pages will be included on your site. please have about 3-4 paragraphs written for your site for each page explaining your offerings. i’ll review your content to ensure it web-friendly and speaks directly to your target audience

if you need help with your copy, i can write it for you as an add-on to your service at my standard hourly rate.

photos + videos

the second biggest asset to your website will be your photos and any video content you’d like to include

for photos, please gather all of your photos in a folder on google drive so that you can easily share them.

videos can be added to your site from YouTube or Vimeo. if they aren’t uploaded, please upload them and add your videos’ links to a Google Doc.

*Tip: i recommend uploading videos to Vimeo as the best way to ensure a seamless look on your site. YouTube will display any related videos and ads when they are played.

branding

If you have branding already - perfect!! I can use your branding to design your site around your brand.

If you don’t have branding, no worries! we can reviews some other brands that you like and discuss what should fit your business best. if you’d like to engage in branding your business, we can discuss that process and if it’s in alignment with your project timeline.

We’ll meet weekly to sync on your project’s status. this is the fun part where we’ll review what’s working and what isn’t for your website. During our kickoff call, we’ll determine what day and time works best to meet for 30min - 1hr over Zoom or in person so that we can review your site together. Try to think of a few days and times ahead of kickoff.

some show and tell

I want you to be 100% satisfied with the final product. Our first “loading” sync will be a review your home page. I like to work on this first to ensure that I’m hitting the mark for your desired style. During this review, if I’m too far off - that is the time to determine if you’d like to continue working with me or if you’d like to receive a refund for any unused deposit hours you paid for.

project cleanup

After receiving your feedback on the home page, I’ll apply those changes and continue working through the rest of your website. once the full site is complete we’ll have another sync for you to provide your feedback and any changes you’d like to see made. Revisions are unlimited up to 1 week after your project has ended to ensure any small changes you may have after completion can be quickly resolved.
